Terms & Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of thrustframe.com and to enquiries made through it. Thrustframe is a sole proprietor web development studio based in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Development work is governed by a separate written project agreement. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, the project agreement wins.

2. Using this site

You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own use in considering the services offered. You may not:

  • Use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • Submit false information, or someone else's details, through the quote form
  • Send automated, bulk or spam submissions
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any server behind it
  • Copy, republish or resell the site's content or code as your own

3. Quote requests

Submitting the quote form is a request for information. It does not create a contract, does not reserve time in the Thrustframe schedule, and does not oblige Thrustframe to take the work on. Any enquiry may be declined.

Any figure given before a written scope is an estimate only. A quote becomes binding when it is issued in writing as a fixed price for a defined scope and you accept it in writing.

Thrustframe aims to reply to enquiries within one business day, but that is a goal rather than a guarantee.

4. Project work

Where a project goes ahead, the written project agreement sets out the scope, price, timeline, payment schedule and revision rounds. In general:

  • Work is quoted at a fixed price against a defined scope. Additions to that scope are quoted separately before they are built.
  • Timelines assume content, feedback and approvals arrive when agreed. Delays on your side move the delivery date.
  • A deposit is normally required before work starts, with the balance due on completion.
  • Costs charged by other providers, such as domains, hosting, licensed fonts, stock images and paid services, are yours unless the agreement says otherwise.

5. Your content

You are responsible for the text, images, logos and other material you supply. By providing it you confirm you own it or have the right to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law. You agree to cover any claim brought against Thrustframe that arises from material you supplied.

6. Ownership

Once the final invoice is paid, you own the custom code and design produced specifically for your project, along with the domain and hosting accounts held in your name.

This does not transfer ownership of: components built by others, open source libraries and frameworks (which stay under their own licences), licensed fonts or stock assets (which stay under their licences), or the existing Thrustframe tools, techniques and general know how, which Thrustframe remains free to reuse.

Unless you ask otherwise, Thrustframe may show the finished work in its portfolio and describe the work done.

7. Use of AI tools

Thrustframe uses AI assisted development tools to speed up routine and repetitive work. All output is reviewed by hand before it ships, and Thrustframe remains fully responsible for what is delivered under the project agreement. If you would prefer AI tools not be used on your project, say so before work begins and Thrustframe will explain what that means for the price and timeline.

8. Site content and availability

The content on this site is provided for general information. Thrustframe tries to keep it accurate and current but makes no warranty that it is complete or free of errors, and may change or remove content at any time.

The site is provided “as is”. Thrustframe does not guarantee it will always be available or free of interruption, and may suspend or withdraw it without notice.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of Ontario.

Subject to that, Thrustframe is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption arising from your use of this site. Total Thrustframe liability in connection with this website is limited to CAD $100. Liability for project work is governed by the project agreement.

10. Links

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Thrustframe does not control them and is not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

Thrustframe may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
